Aikido is considered to be one of the best forms of self defense to all that apply themselves. It is not limited to the young or strong, anyone can (through practice) become a efficient Aikido practitioner.

Aikido has its roots in many ancient Japanese Martial arts, primarily Jiu-jitsu,and Iaido. The self defense techniques of Aikido are based on using an opponent's own aggression against him.

Inland Empire Aikido offers real and practical training. Although for beginning students it is a must to practice fluid movements and learn how to deal with restricted attacks for the development of principles of Aikido (Leading - Keep One's Center, Extension- Release All Tension) as the students advance they must learn how to deal with free form attacks. We believe in real world attacks and that students, as they advance, will build confidence in, if necessary, dealing with all attackers.

Inland Empire Aikido offers weapons training (jo, bokken, knife or tanto, Tori and Waza and also gun take away).
